Where is Weiser, Idaho?
Weiser is pronounced wee-zer. It is a rural community in Southwest Idaho of approximately 5,300 people. Weiser is located on the Idaho/Oregon border and is separated by the Snake River. It sits right on Highway 95 that runs north and south through Idaho all the way from Canada to Mexico. Highway 95 crosses over Interstate 84 (running east and west) approximately 25 miles south of Weiser. The Boise airport is about 72 miles or 1 1/4 hours south east of Weiser.
Being at about 2,100 feet Weiser has an average temperature during June around 83 degrees. Most days are very warm with an occasional summer downpour. Weiser is host to one hospital and numerous doctors and pharmacist. Weiser also has a wonderful 9-hole golf course. The Snake River Heritage Center Museum is the first private school in the Northwest.
Please join us in Weiser the third full week in June. We would love to show you the great hospitality of a small Idaho town and what it means to have a good time at The National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest® and Festival.
